  • We visited this wonderful reproduction of the Stave church near Flam in Norway. It is beautiful! It sits near a lovely park in Rapid City and the grounds around it are beautiful. We have seen the original in Norway, and this copy is about as close as you can get to the real thing. Amazing workmanship. The visitor center carries a nice selection of Scandinavian arts and crafts as well as a good selection of books. The historic cabin on the sight is also very nicely done. My grandparents were Norwegian immigrants to North Dakota, so I imagine this is a fairly good depiction of how they lived. Really enjoyed the visit.!
